New Project Adds to the Rehoboth Food Scene




One of Delaware’s largest restaurant groups, SoDel Concepts, has partnered with Broadpoint Construction and broke ground on its latest business venture. Bluecoast Seafood Grill & Raw Bar, the second location in the area, will open in Rehoboth Gateway by summer 2017 and will seat 250 people in the 4,500 square-foot space. An additional 2,500 square feet of outdoor space will feature fire pits, corn hole and a stage for acoustic performances.

Rehoboth Beach-based SoDel Concepts is an award-winning hospitality, restaurant and catering group founded by chef-restaurateur Matt Haley. President of SoDel Concepts, Scott Kammerer, told delmavaranow.com “This will be our most exciting project yet, … Bluecoast in Bethany Beach, our flagship restaurant, has received national recognition. We’re pleased to bring the concept to our customers north of the Indian River Inlet Bridge.”

Bluecoast Seafood Grill & Raw Bar will be Broadpoint Construction’s fifth restaurant project since 2014. Previous projects include Crooked Hammock Brewery in Lewes, JD Shuckers in Georgetown and Grandpa Mac’s Rt. 1 location in Rehoboth. “We’re beyond excited to add to the Rehoboth food scene,” says President and Partner of Broadpoint Construction, John Schneider. “And getting to work with great development and architectural companies like Jack Lingo Asset Management and Fisher Architecture is an added bonus.
